Christine Nicholls

From Australia with a background in AGB stars, Christine has expanded her research to include brown dwarfs.

Christine’s main research interests lie in stellar variability and binaries. Other research interests include stellar evolution, red giants, planetary nebulae, and AGB circumstellar environments. She has experience in photometric variability analysis, radial velocity measurement and orbital fitting.

Current projects include investigating candidate brown dwarf binaries, fitting atmospheric models to brown dwarf spectra, dust production in giant binary mergers, and orbital analysis of distorted red giant binaries.

In her spare time Christine is an avid reader and knitter, a foodie, and loves to travel.
